Being a children’s book author.. hmm.. why not?
I recently read this book ‘How to Think More About Sex’ by Alain de Botton. I liked how the author explains everything objectively without loosing the truth about the incredible power sex has on us.
Excerpt i like…
Without sex, we would be dangerously invulnerable. We might believe we were not ridiculous. We wouldn’t know rejection and humiliation so intimately. We could age respectably, get used to our privileges and think we understood what was going on. We might disappear into numbers and words alone. It is sex that creates a necessary havoc in the ordinary hierarchies of power, status, money and intelligence.

🙂 Who doesn’t find this strip worth smiling at?
I tell you all this because it’s worth recognizing that there is no such thing as an overnight success. You will do well to cultivate the resources in yourself that bring you happiness outside of success or failure. The truth is, most of us discover where we are headed when we arrive. At that time, we turn around and say, yes, this is obviously where I was going all along. It’s a good idea to try to enjoy the scenery on the detours, because you’ll probably take a few. – Bill Watterson, creator of the beloved Calvin and Hobbes comic strip at Kenyon College
